History Of The Globe
The Globe Theatre was bulit by a carpenter Peter Smith and his workers. It was the most magnificent theater that London had ever seen and built in 1597 -1598. The theatre was able to hold several thousand people!
Not only did the Theatre perform plays. It was also reputed to be a brothel and gambling house. There are supposedly no pictures of the actual inside of the globe theatre. It was situated on the South bank of the river Thames in Southwark.
